Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables, is a historical novel, set in, rural Canada. It in many ways, basically tells, the tale, of how, life, was once lived, in rural Canada. And while, most, might focus, on the, everyday activities, and lives, of the, characters in it, what really, grasps one, about it, are the, emotions and feelings, easily manifest, from seeing, into, their [characters] lives. It is in, many ways, a heartrenching, book, as to the obvious, feelings, of despair, hopelessness, and even, misery. Heartrenching feelings, deep in nature, that most, simply, believe, the characters, cannot escape. But what is really, heartrenching, about, Anne of Green Gables, is that, the characters in it, are actually, what, most people, in modern parlance, refer to, as, "good people". They are actually, good, decent people, going, through, hard times, and can't seem, to escape them, for no real good reason at all. In many ways, Anne of Green Gables, and other such, similar, historical novels, set in, rural Canada, tell the tale, of millions, of folks out there, today, who simply aspire, to live good lives, and be decent folk, but can't, understand or fathom, why the evil, get to win, all the time. In many ways too, Anne of Green Gables, captures, the moods, of hopelessness [in their deepest form], that have generally, engulfed, the world, since, the late, 19th century, to the, present age, we live in. In many ways, the desire, to escape, a rural mindset, and live, free and large, in the big City.

Lets talk to God: Religious Signs and Insignia

Back in the Middle Ages [a period of time, not too different, from rural Canada], those who sought, to advance [without seeking knowledge], sought, to do so, via, the use, of Religion. It was, a way, of advancement, based really, on the 'worship', of, Religious Signs, and Insignia. A rather, intellectual way, of 'worship', as it, in many ways, involved, talking, to God. This talk [or conversation], was at its heart, based on, dealing, with feelings, of, despair, hopelessness, and even, misery. Talk about, whom they were [and where, they were going], the problems they faced, and what they wished for [or aspired for], in general. All this talk, as mentioned, dealt in many ways, with ones, core beliefs. And at the core, of it all, was dealing, with feelings, of, despair, with regards, to whom, one really is. It was a way, of 'worship', that eventually gave rise, to a form, of, evangelizing, known as, Proselytizing [telling others, of Gods hopes, for them].

Rural Canadians, are in many ways, folks, who are wont, to come up, with, quick ideas, on their general lives; from whom they are, to solving general problems, to aspirations sought [whom they really are]. They kind of, talk to themselves, and ideas, sometimes, come rushing. This is sometimes too, done, in a group setting [or what some call, groupthink]. This is the main reason, why, the worship, of Religious Signs and Insignia, would be great, for rural Canada, and other, such, rural populations. A way, to seek, knowledge [via what they call, musings], other than, seeking out, an education, of all kinds. There are three, of these signs, that might be, helpful, to anyone, seeking, right now, to start on, solving, the, psychological based problems [based on living, in these present times], in their daily lives. One simply feels them [the signs], and talks, to them [as many have traditionally knelt, in church spews, facing towards the cross, and praying to God]. Doing so, results, in the rush, of ideas, showing up, to help one, solve, their problems [psychosomatic in nature] [psychosomatic problems, are problems, based, on ones history, that prevent one, from advancing; one gets rejected, by a girl, and fears them all after].

The Spanish Cross:

The Spanish Cross, is a religious Sign really, that one can, turn to, when despair sets in, into their lives. When one, believes, they simply, have no future, due, to whom, they have become. They are simply, just, hopeless, in everyway, and rather, than try, to improve, themselves, seek to resort, to alcohol, and drug taking, to feel good, about themselves. When they seek, a self-image, for themselves, such that, they can, wake up [early in the morning], and go out there [despite how miserable], and live out, their lives. Its simply, a cross, you talk to, when you believe, that, life, is not worth, living out, and that, suicide, or even, an early death, is the way to go. When you seek even, to attempt, to do, something, big, but are held back, by identities, imposed, on one, institutionally e.g. Country, State, family name, and the likes.

The Cross and the Crown:

The Cross and the Crown, is a rather, old, and reknowed, religious Sign, of Germanic origins [and seen, in, Middle Ages Germany]. It is a sign, in many ways, associated, with problem solving. If one, has a problem, of any kind e.g. school/work problem, relationship problem, and even, a political problem [high taxes perhaps], then one, can easily turn, to the Cross and the Crown, for help. It is a religious sign, that will have, answers, to all kinds, of problems [technical in nature], coming up, rather easily. It is a rather, powerful sign, and most, who believe in it, will easily feel it, in their blood, and veins. It is a sign, that has, historically, been associated, with, problem solving, Secret Societies, once seen, in Germany. A sign, that is not, really associated, with, seeking knowledge, but with developing, ones, pattern recognition, memory, and logic skills [via flashes of knowledge] [you have to think (ask too), things out].

The Orthodox Cross:

The Orthodox Cross, often associated, with Orthodox Christianity, is a cross, that in many ways, helps deal, with, misery issues. Issues mainly, with regards, to how, to, live ones life; the routines, or plans, associated, with ones, everyday life, or the future itself. A cross, that can help you, in general, plan, for your future. Most people, today, don't really, plan, for their futures, with the exception, of, attempting, to accumulate, lots of money, for their retirement. In many ways though, they don't, really know, what to plan for [other than, retirement]. As a summary though, the Spanish Cross, can give you, a dream; the Orthodox Cross, will help you, plan for it, and the Cross and the Crown, will help you, solve, all technicalities, one meets, on their way.

This form, of 'worship', seen, in the Middle Ages, was very much then, family based. It often started, with, individual families, and when they rose up, in rank, often then, united, with other families, resulting, in Extended families. Families, powerful in wealth, and identity, and were often, associated, with what, they call, Heraldry [Heraldic signs, often use, religious Signs and Insignia, in them]. Some Families [Extended], became, rather powerful, and very much, became, too, a form of Political Authority [a powerful political entity, and also, a source, of religious counsel]. The origins, of the Catholic Church, in Europe, arose, as a form, of, Political Authority [and why, to this day, the Papacy, is associated, with a Heraldic sign].

This form, of 'worship', is also, very good, for any form, of, decision making. It is also used, for, general prayer, in the form of, Prayer/Concentration, Meditation/Focus, and Contemplation/Alignment [the Spanish Cross, the Orthodox Cross, and the Cross and the Crown, respectively].
