Conversations with God (series in religious thought) pt. 2

St. John, the Baptist

#Mike and Jerome, continue, on, their journey, for the search, of the meaning, of Life, seeking redress, to the answer, given, by St. Jerome, based, on a belief, that there, might be, something else, another view perhaps, out there. It is while, pondering this, that they ran, into a man, exiting, a gate, on a small, country road, nearby, the town. Its St. John, the Baptist.

Mike: Look Jerome, its St. John, the Baptist; lets ask him, about, the mystery, of Life.

Jerome: Hello St. John, how do you fare, this morning?

St. John: You are talking to me? I see that, and how, are you faring, this morning, yourself?!

Mike: We are fine, St. John; we hope, you might, be, of assistance, to us.

St. John: And how so, do you figure that, ....., and your name is?

Mike: My name is Mike, and this is Jerome, and we hope, to ask you, about, the meaning, of Life.

St. John: Pleased to meet you Mike, you too Jerome, and the meaning of Life, is what you pose to me: Life, is very much, a mystifying experience. Nobody, really knows, why, anything, ever happens. Who is behind it all, making things happen, all around us. Even more so, why, do they happen, and even, when. Its totally, mystifying, and unless, one knows why, one is, totally clueless, about Life, and its potential.

Jerome: Is that, about, the search, for the existence, of God?

St. John: You mean, the search, to prove, the existence, of the Almighty: possibly so, but not rightly true. The true search, is in knowing, that Life, is very much, a void, an emptiness, and even, a darkness. That all that, is the only, true state, that exists, and from which, all other, states, are born of. To know, emptiness, is to know, the existence, of the Almighty, and thats all, there is to it.

Jerome: But how, does one, know, emptiness?

St. John, Emptiness Jerome, is a state, attained, via, what they call, Acts of Consecration. Some, might know them, as Acts, of Sufferance.

Mike: What are Acts of Sufferance, St. John?

St. John: Acts of Sufferance Mike, are acts, that teach us, about, three things: suffering, pain, and struggle. These acts, occur, in the form, of, initiations, rituals, and rite; this, for example, means, marriage forever, with no, prospect, of divorce. And experience or knowing, and fully understanding, pain, suffering and struggle, enables us, to fully, understand, emptiness, and as a, result, one experiences, a life, filled, with bliss. No pain, no struggle, and no suffering. As a result, of it all, one then, becomes, all-merciful. Life, is truly, a bliss.

St.John: Now, I've to get going, and I will see you, later.
